Our quality begins with a diligent and highly selective process called phenotype hunting. A thorough process of clone iteration allows us to carefully select specific phenotype characteristics for each varietal that are best suited to meet our standards. Once we’ve identified the best phenotype, it will become the core tree for our mother stock. This process is performed per strain and allows us to consistently achieve a premium finished product for every strain we cultivate.

With a 10,000 square foot medical grade facility, High Culture is the largest indoor hydroponic cannabis grower in North Carolina. We use a recirculating deep water culture system and salt based nutrients to raise and feed every growing cycle. Because we grow hydroponically, we use less water than traditional soil based outdoor, indoor, and greenhouse growing methods. Not only do we use less water, our staggered growing cycles are able to produce a harvest every 4-6 weeks. Far more than any other growing method. This allows us to perfect and replicate each strain to consistently offer the freshest product to the end user.

Having a tightly controlled drying and curing environment allows us to preserve maximum cannabinoids levels and terpene expression. After cutting the plant, we hand trim the large peripheral fan leaves and hang it to dry in our drying room for one to two weeks at 60-65 degrees and 55-65 relative humidity. Once dry enough, we trim the buds and let them cure to perfection in special bins for another one to two weeks. Twice a day the bins are opened for one hour and the flower is stirred. This meticulous process removes the last of the moisture and pushes the flower to it’s maximum flavor, notes, and aroma.

It’s not enough for us to simply cultivate a superior cannabis flower, it should look just as spectacular as it tastes and smells. We don’t use machines to trim, we hand trim each flower bud and gently brush any excess leaves before packaging. This is simply one more way we ensure our philosophy of quality and craft are carried through all the stages of cultivation, harvesting, and processing.
